Our Blind Spot

We are currently growing faster than our infrastructure can follow, running around with duct tape to make our systems reliable while relentlessly shipping new features as well. We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who will be building and maintaining our integration layer between Hoshii and ERP/CRM systems out there. You will be an integral part of our engineering team in order to ensure a seamless onboarding for our customers, guaranteeing they receive the best possible experience while building the first system existing as such. You will join the founding team of young, talented engineers contributing to taking Hoshii to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be in charge of architecting and maintaining reliable, high-performance backend systems, while dealing with the non-deterministic nature of AI agents.
• Integrate and maintain various ERP and CRM systems into our platform to enable one-click automations.
• Collaborate with customers to identify integration needs & challenges, and deliver effective solutions tackling them.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues across services and levels of the stack, and promptly resolve business-critical disruptions that impact our customers.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and documentation.

Your Profile

We are looking for team players with a growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit:

• Strong coding and debugging skills.
• Proven experience building and maintaining backend applications using Go, Java, C# or similar.
• Proficiency with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres) and familiarity with No-SQL (MongoDB).
• Proven experience with maintaining DevOps cycles from deployment (Docker), to orchestration (Kubernetes) and monitoring (Grafana).
• Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and their use in decoupling systems.
• Plus: Familiarity with distributed systems concepts (e.g., CAP theorem, consensus protocols) and microservice patterns.
• Plus: Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English, good command of German.
• A drive to work hands-on with clients while iterating based on user feedback.
